Advice on Using an EGR Delete Kit

Hello,

I’m thinking about using an EGR delete kit and would like practical advice. How does it affect engine operation, maintenance requirements, and overall reliability? Are there common mistakes or pitfalls that first-time users should watch out for?

Did users notice changes in exhaust behavior, efficiency, or mechanical wear? Any tips or experiences about long-term use, monitoring, or adjustments would be really valuable.

I want to make an informed decision and prepare for any potential challenges before proceeding.

I deleted the egr valve on my 3.0 v6 back several decades ago. The engine actually ran smoother. Other than that it still passed emissions testing, and had no other issues till I sold the truck. I can't say this will be the case for all engines, especially ones currently with all these various computers that monitor all engine, and transmission systems.
