Tune up time

genuine toyota fluids can really last a lifetime

the '96 gen1 with original factory gearbox oils at 400k+ was a parts runner for the guys autoparts shop

It's likely bs. Truck interior looks too good for that mileage unless its all been replaced, and nowhere did he actually show on the odo that mileage.

he did have the seat cover driver side reupholstered
he has mileage pics posted on that rag...

I didn't see anywhere that the odo shows that....one can list anything. I'm still unable to log in on tw, but at least now I can read all the threads.
Btw, it's not only the seat itself, but the entire trucks interior looks like its got under 100k miles. When I sold my toyota vehicles that had over 200k, or more miles, the trucks interior looked like I was living in it.....at times smelt it to.

did you need for me to keep looking for his odo pic?
i know it there i saw it so many time

the carpeting under the driver foot is excpetionally clean for the age it is

No kidding, my last tundra's carpet was worn through in one place in that area with well over 100k miles less.
Unless he had much of his interior redone, I call bs on those miles. As far as the odo a picture may not even be from the same truck showing those miles, and even if it were for real, that truck would be a unicorn if never having that fluid maintenance. I've seen enough domestic, and foreign trucks that never changed their differential oils all have some sort of failure....mostly noisy bearings in the 150k mile range.
