Started back on the 79 the past couple days. Working on welding in new pieces also cleans most if the bad undercoating/grease off the cab floor. Should be getting the metal for floorboards today or tomorrow

5100s work by compressing your coil spring. Now you will get a rougher ride with 5100s but they are much better than spacers. Also you can get the 1.6 lift could with the 5100s for a smoother ride.

Sorry I haven't updated this yet, here is the finished product. I'm making the skid plate alittle bigger in the summer but I am happy with it now. Time for some lights as well.

Also check and see which cylinder is loosing compression before you do any of that. I'm sure you can rent a compression tester from a local auto parts store

If you changed the head gasket then in sure you checked all the cylinders and pistons and valves correct?

Well I'm not building a race truck, and I like the sound now. When I start getting more money and go the "performance" route I'm sure ill change it. I still want to turbo at some point. For now I like it how it is.
