My SR5 came with 245/75-16 tires from the factory. Factory SR5 wheels were 7" wide. I replaced them with 2018 Sport wheels, and their only 1/2" wider at 7.5" wide. I kinda doubt a half inch would make a lot of difference.

Depends on what you want. Looks or functionality. If I was gonna lift my truck, I'd never go over 2 inches. Some have the go big or go home attitude.
