2019 Ford Ranger Thoughts?

I picked up this 03 last Aug and have turned it from “a grandpa truck” to a cooler truck for my son. That was his quote of what the truck looked like. He just turned 16 and can drive by himself in Aug. I threw a 4” spindle lift and 31s on it, blacked everything out, added nerf bars and bull bar, and replaced the carpet. It’s a perfect truck for a 16 year old. I’m not a big fan of the new ranger. As stated by the wife, the front ended doesn’t look very tough. It seems like the front end of the older explorers.

But that’s as a pavement pounding San Antonio truck, not my Idaho trail crawling lifted CJ-7.

I had a B2300 I think. It lasted about 4-5 months maybe...if that. Leaked all the oil out suddenly and engine seized. I got it at a buy here/pay here place. It was a piece of junk.

Nice truck for a 16 year old.. lucky boy!
 
Saw a new Ranger this afternoon. Bet they saved a bunch of design budget. Someone walked into Engineering with a Tacoma picture and said "Do this with Blue Oval gear".

Seriously? I thought it was a shiny new short bed 4 door Tacoma. Then noticed the chrome vent in the fender.

I was underwhelmed.
