heading out today for what i hope to be a winter adventure of a lifetime to the rocky mountains, border to border Mexico to Canada
it should take 12 days to wheel down US-283 and back up US-285, whilst the digits on the odo are turning 283k and 285k
planning to take US-287 from its trailHead in Montana partway back to I-80 and then head on back
let's see how it all goes....

Just saw this…..That's a keeper Jay.welcome to the taco adventure!...
this is my old truck of 25+ years aged, the picture is from a couple of years back...
it currently has almost 262,ooo miles. (now has 275k on 10-31-22)

The truck is still on the original clutch parts, except for the hydraulic master/slave that was replaced last year because that 3rd pedal would not fully return from near the floor after reversing backwards, and had to pull it back up proper with the toe!
the clutch bearing is making a wee bit of chatter, but nothing too pesky at the moment, awhile back it was diagnosed as the source of this insane gremlin rattle that popped up a few years ago (more ranting on that later!!)
it also has diffrent shoes onit currently... truckin' with Michelin defender LTX, which are MUCH less road noisy on the concrete trails than those GoodYear duraTrac are, but the Michelins are not great wheelin' in the blizzards like those duraTracs were

heading out of Fort Collins and finding the way to Great Falls Montana thru Wyoming via i25 and i90
reports of road closures in Wyoming (i80/i25) interchange is perhaps going to cause travel issues....
oh my! this was a treacherous adventure into Wyoming on i25 and i90 the day after the roads were reopened to cautious travel
a slow go in Wyoming
heading out of Fort Collins and finding the way to Great Falls Montana thru Wyoming via i25 and i90

5500 mile treK so far
drove by the Great Falls Toyota called City Toyota before heading north to find the trailHead for US-287
turned at Choteau and headed back south on US-287 trailHead
