Can anyone tell me

About 2 years ago my local dealer posted a 2016 Tundra double cab SR5 on their web site for $1485. Yes $1485. I immediately called and asked if they still had it they said yes so drive down with $1500 in my pocket. Told them I wanted to test drive it so I did. Sat down and started the paper work to buy it. I asked multiple times if they honor the internet pricing. The sales guy said yes always and asked how I was going to pay for the truck I said cash. He got excited and went to his manager. They both came back and started writing up the paper work. The price was $37,800. I said oh that’s not the price on your web site. They asked what was the price on the web site. I said $1485. They said $14850? I said no $1485. They said we can’t sale this for that. I said I asked you multiple times if you honored your internet pricing and you said yes always. They said show us where you found this. So I pulled up my email they had sent me clicked on the link that was in it and went to the Tundra. They where shocked and went and got the GM. Needless to say after all my best negotiating skills they wouldn’t sale me the truck for $1485.

If they would have sold it to you I’d be taking you truck shopping with me.

On what planet? Haha
Not the planet of Prez. Dump ,
Have a cashier's check made out for the price you want to pay by your bank , then check the hours of your stealer ship or place of business , take a few cash hundos with you if he needs to bee greased , You see I did all my research online, went to the stealership about an hour before they close, here's the secret ! The finance guy just wants to go home ! Use this thought to your advantage ! The stealership I went to wanted 21,798 ! , I ended up paying 15,550 + tax !

What year Tacoma are you saying you paid $15,550 for that was $21,798 originally?
It looks like a gen three TRD Sport in your profile picture so I know it can’t be that one.

I don't know if it would've worked or not in civil court but most places are bound by their advertised prices & if the retailer refuses to honor their publicly viewed price it could be litigated as a "deceptive sales practice" that boarders on fraud possibly...
