Welcome to the forum. I use LED motion lights in my bed under the tonneau. Cheap and works well.

Mounted a couple of these, on each side. These are from Harbor Freight. Work great for my purpose plus they were cheap, fast and easy.....

I have a set of these a buddy gave me off his 2016 ram. I have the plugs but no wiring.. Idk if I wanna drill a hole in my bed for a Dodge part. Lol but they are bright. Maybe I'll use them for something else

Here’s the lights I used. It came in a 3 pack for $13.99.
My only recommendation is getting some good 3M auto adhesive tape to keep around for stuff like this. The adhesive that comes with isn’t the greatest. After adding the 3M tape they haven’t moved and batteries are still good after almost 4 months.

I put these ribbon lights with the movement sensor in my Sport. They lasted almost a year on the same batteries and did great. You can put them right under the rails and have whole bed lighting.

I think I like a long row of lights better with a battery-powered motion detector. Could you post a photo?
