Good article. It all makes sense. I still have a hard time grasping Ford killing their cars, especially a mid size sedan like the Taurus. But if it works good for them. GM needs to take notes and get their stuff together.

As far as vehicle size, it’s true that they are getting bigger. I was actually surprised at the specs listed in the article. An Explorer being almost 6 inches wider is a lot in 10 years (or one real design change).
Look at our DCLB Tacoma’s. They are a monstrosity compared to the 80-90’s import trucks.
As @Bojangles calls them “a limo” and @ko.taco calls them “a wiener dog”. Lol
