I will try that! Sometimes it makes me wonder about Toyota. I mean come on the horn stops working cuz of a clock spring stupid design!
If so, free recall, safety oriented clock spring.

Now’s your chance to get a Dixie horn!
So from what I have read. If the spiral cable goes out the horn, airbag light and cruise control won't work? Where is the relay located?
My airbag light isn't on
I need to get some jumper cables before I try that
Are the fuses good? Wiring corroded or messed up?
It’s easy for the wiring to get messed up and corroded where the horn is located in the Tacoma.
Hopefully this is another simple repair like your last one!
My friends mom in high school had a car and when she would make a left hand turn it would start honking it wouldn’t work any other time, so we would hang out the windows and wave every time she would turn left haha. People be staring.I figured it out. The spiral cable is bad. Turned the steering wheel and the horn worked. Horn doesn't work with the steering wheel centered
So my next question is. Should I buy a cheap clock spring off ebay? Or a Used OEM one? Or brand new? Thanks guys
If it was me I’d get an OEM. Or at least one that’s made by a reputable company. lol. Maybe even salvage yard.
I think you’d be ok with one. Typically they last longer than the truck itself.Would you go with a Used OEM?

WeakFigured I would call Toyota corporate and ask if they would help. Said no but if there is a recall for the 2012 model they will reimburse me hahaha. Toyota is a joke sometimes.
