Fuel grade

Since I’m bored I guess I’ll toss in my 2 pennies,... I lived at pretty much 0’ elevation for a long time and went through a few Tacomas. 91 always seemed to “feel” a little better driving around so my 02, 05 and 10 all lived their life on 91 with no issues and I was happy. Now I live at 7,000’ elevation and just got my 17 a few months ago and wondered how all those feet of elevation under my feet played an effect on the octane needed. Everything I found to read said 87 works better when you’re this high,... [emoji41]... Anyway, when I was taking delivery of the 17 the sales guy said, “It’s got a full tank of 87.” Cool. Ran that out, put in another tank of 87, by this time the truck and I are getting along and figuring out how to not do nose dives at a stop sign. Out of curiosity I filled up with 91 on the 3rd or 4th tank and a couple after that. To me, and at 7,000’, it did seem a tad more spunky on the 87 so probably in a couple days I’m going back to the 87. There it is,...

That butt dyno though.

dropped 50 miles per tank of tacoJuice recently after truck came out of the shop for extended period

but i do not think fuel grade is the issue or is it?

i tested one tank with Shell vPower Nitro+ 91 octane that is 1$ more than the 87 with ethanol

perhaps 10 more miles were wheeled on that tank

IDK
