I loved mine ! ' 86 had the 4 banger . 5 speed 2wd .lowered 2 inches and had 15x7 with 275-60-15 .no rub . painted the ford calyspo green .couldn't hide anywhere ! Lol

I’d take the 4.0 in the tacos over the Jeep any day. The Toyota engine makes more low end torque and is an under square engine.

The tacos do make more power but there's something about those old straight sixes that I've always loved. Dad wore out 3 old ford trucks with 1 300 straight 6 and a "granny" 4 speed. Haha
I got to know a few Chrysler 4.0's too. Both fanominal engines. A straight 6 has 7 main bearings which is 2 more than a V8 and 3 more than a V6... means bearings don't take nearly the wear in a straight 6.
I'm rambling... haha

Naw, those were older. Don't know much about them. Seen a few, Grandpappy had one when I was real young.

I had some of those on a 72 4x4 f100... iirc 33 tall but yeah, like 7 or 8 wide on a factory 6 in wheel or whatever they were. Haha
