Sounds like they are just going to investigate vehicles manufactured between sept 2016-Aug 2017 for now. Doesn’t mean more wont come out in the future. Mine was built Nov 2016 so...This should get interesting. Hopefully it’s a non-issue as far as safety. If the scandal goes back a decade and all the Japanese auto makers and GM are involved that’ll be a huge part of the cars on the road today that could be affected.
