How were you able to buy a Tacoma

Nuclear security officer .... lots of ot

What plant/ where?
I’m in Va at North Anna and sometimes Surry
I started buying my 17 trdordclb in 1992.....
Fresh out of the gun club and started working for the power company, two cars, 700k miles and 25 years later, enough money was put away that didn’t get used on kids or healthcare or home repairs, etc. I went into the dealership and wrote a check for the one I wanted.
There was actually a third car involved..... in May of 16 I had bought a 2015 Chevy Impala, but the local dealer couldn’t/wouldn’t fix it, and long story short, after being escorted from the property by the local constabulary, I unloaded that POS and ended a 27 year GM loyalty streak. I will not buy another new or CPO ‘American’ automobile. I paid 16 for the car, drove it 16 months, and gave it to Toyota along with a check for 22k. May have lost a little on the trade, but the peace of mind I now have is priceless.

I strayed from Toyota after a decade of running Tacoma’s and ran a Chevy 1500 for about 4 1/2 years. I had nothing but problems out of my last Chevy and never had a drop of trouble from any Tacoma so I went back where I belong.

I'm just really bored wanting to start a new thread lol, but just curious Tacoma's are not cheap what so ever, what do you guys do for a living which helped you gain a taco. I personally just bought mine off Craigslist from some guy going through a divorce, I work at a bank while in school, obviously I'm poor xD

Don't answer this question if it's too personal, I'm just trying to start a thread for the hell of it lol

I'm retired. I walked into the Toyota dealership and at first talked to some rummy rookie sales person who walked me through mud on the lot on a sunny day and wouldn't listen to a damn thing I had to say. I persisted to ask to talk to somebody else and eventually that paid off and the fleet manager came out. I told her exactly what I wanted, right down to the color. About 2 weeks later she had a brand new 2017 TRD Off Road 4x4 delivered and rang me up on the phone. It had everything i wanted except for the Toyota Tonneau cover. Only 10 miles on the odometer. I spent a good part of the day going over the sales documents, insurance, etc. and wrote a personal check.

The fleet manager got the commission and the knuckle head who got my shoes muddy did not.
