it is not safe to fly...

Last week we booked a flight for january next winter to florida for a 2 week vacation at a friends time share condo in palm beach. Not big on flying, but gotta keep the wife happy.
As far as math...no clue what math you want me to do? Planes, and trains are still way safer than auto's if thats what you want to hear.

Is that the ups plane crash that killed 9 yesterday? Thats kind of old news
How many have died in automobile crashes so far this year? I keep hearing these illegal's with california cdl's are running into others on our roads.

650 each ,we were going to go last year but they were 1400 each and we were almost had everything picked out to go to Iceland ,and my wife checked Swiss Air for giggles and we changed plans glad I went .We flew into Zurich and took train to Zermatt, then up to Lucerne area and last day over nite in Zurich to come home 11 days beautiful country:) the Matterhorn very cool IMG_20250907_151905952.webp

Did you hit the highways with a rental vehicle
They have some massive long tunnel that is 16km long I went thru it twice long time ago
 
No for the first time on vacation we took the train every where it's hard to have a car there because alot of the towns and cities are carless and you have to park out of town quite a ways and then take the train to where you going anyway.IMG_20250912_151257897~2.webp
Yes that's a Mercedes pick up it was very cool
