It'll sound louder in the cab to you when driving. I always put some kind of aftermarket intake on whatever I have. With a bit larger diameter exhaust. You can say NO all you want Mike , but, this can only be proven or disproved with the truck on a dyno ! I'm not wasting my time doing that unless I build another 800 HP at the rear wheels Duramax!
True. With the air box in place it influences intake air to be drawn in through the opening in the quarter panel, hence "cold air" intake. I am only assuming with out the air box it would be able to draw some/mostly warm air from within the engine compartment therefor defeating somewhat one of the objectives with a K & N.View attachment 7821View attachment 7822View attachment 7823
Truck came in with it. I googled it and it usually has a air box around it.

It look like it's made to fit like that. (All the sensors and hoses like up perfect) it has no space but to go there. That part on top anyone know what that is?
Indeed. Especially when you get on itgo with URD instead... much more braaap... and its fair priced.
