Live in upstate NY near Binghamton. They use salt on the roads in Winter. Should I undercoat? If so, what are your suggestions that I should use? Woolwax, Fluidfilm, NH oil treatment.
I would certainly undercoating a new vehicle and every two years after that. I use liquid film and its work best for me for years. Buy the kit that has the add spray hose so you can run inside the frame and interbody panels for coverage . It stays wet and seals excellent. A new vehicle should take about six cans.
I agree with JDC. Especially with salt roads in your area. Can't be too cautious . Well worth the investment. I did minor undercoat, but don't have the severe weather here. Also helps with some sound deadening.
I’ve considered bringing the NH Oil Treatment to Virginia for my snow removal equipment at the power station. Personally, I’m not a fan of undercoating. Whatever you use needs to migrate, penetrate, and displace the moisture between components.
