New to Tacomas ... looking at a 2009?

Hi All,

I do not now, nor have I ever owned a Tacoma .... but I hope to soon! I am looking for a crew cab SB around the 2009 or newer period. Due to financial constraints I doubt it will be newer that a 2009 so I am looking for any advice or concerns with this year / model. I come from Chevy trucks and Jeep Wranglers while my wife drives a Honda. So when I say I am new to Toyotas and Tacomas, I mean it!! Thanks, in advance, and nice to meet you all!!
 
Around the year, the stereos were possessed.
The leaf springs are **** and u need the recall.
Clockspring for airbag should be recalled.
Trucks leafsprings are weak even when replaced.

What body type?
4 door, access cab, reg cab?

Base, sport, or offroad?

I4 or v6?

Crew Cab with V6 and the package really doesn't matter as long as the price / vehicle condition is right. Thanks for the heads up on the springs and recalls .... possessed stereos I can deal with, LOL
 
There "was" a frame recall from '05-'09....but I think it has surpassed already and they're not doing them anymore, so make sure ur rig comes with a new frame. Or crawl under there and take a look. It's usually rotting on the left frame rail under the driver, around the catalytic. If u live in a cold climate. I've seen four tacos myself, from those years, that had frames just waiting to snap from all the road salts
