I've been doing a little research as to how I can legally make Rupert, and probably Lambo in the future when he grows up and matures, into service dogs.
For anyone who is considering this, it's very easy to do, at least in Canada.
Going to guess that the rules are similar in other countries. If you have a legitimate heslth reason, and a letter from your doctor, you can do a simple form online, and for about $200 get the stuff needed, including the vest for your dog.
Since I am diagnosed with SEVERE PTSD its easy, and Rupert is so well behaved, he meets the requirements of a service dog. My younger dog wouldn't yet, but as he matures, I am sure someday he will be able to as well.
In Canada go to servicedogscanada.org for more information, and google search will probably produce something similar for all of you in other countries.
