I've only been to Fla. one time, and vowed never to go back just because of all the bugs. I don't know if it would help but have you tried any of the new ceramic waxes/sealants/coatings? Might make them easier to get washed off.

I've yet to wax my truck, and it's a 2018. I keep it in my garage, so it doesn't bake all summer.

Really never had a problem getting them off. If their really bad I'll fill a bucket up with hot water, and they wipe right off.

Well I got it today, it only takes about five minutes to put it on. After I installed it I can't imagine it rubbing the paint, the clearance is pretty good.

But it doesn't work as well as I thought it would.

On a serious note, I just realized this is actually what you need if you wanted to keep bugs off the windshield.
