I wasn’t sure if it could even be done but when that thought popped into mind, I thought it was a pretty great thing to look into. I used to make fun of trucks with the slow release tailgates but now I’m really getting used to it, plus it doesn’t rattle the camera when it drops. See the difference in height?
Cover has a large rubber gasket, but i wanted to make the area flush.

This piece is swapped to 3rd gens ALOT cuz they didnt get the rail system i guess
