you're awesome, M! i really hope it works out for everyone. who knows why she left after that many years, but i'm sure it will come out. i've been with my firm for over 25 years. every five years i thought about leaving and doing something different. but the company has been good to me and my family, its hard to even think that way now. my plan is to give her at least 40 years... then retire or do something different. im over half way there i suppose. it seems like the clock speeds up the older you get.[emoji52] sucks
 
She hurt herself more than anything T.
She had 7 years seniority, 5 weeks paid vacation a year, and was making $35.50 an hour. She lost all seniority, has no paid vacation now for a full year, then its only 2 weeks, and she only makes $21 hour like all probies. Talk about going backwards in a hurry, and now she has to earn back all the trust as well with me, her direct boss, and coworkers, as they wonder if they can rely on her, or not. A few people are not pleased with my hiring her back after she already quit once.
 
well, it's up to her to prove herself loyal to you and everyone else. i'm sure she regrets leaving, but i'm sure she is very thankful to have a job too. seems like she has already humbled herself by starting back at square one. time will tell if it was a good decision. if not, then cut ties and move on.

We had a guy here at the college do the same thing. Worked her for like 15 years then left for a year to go to Qwait to earn big bucks. Lost all seniority, vacation and started back at the bottom of the payscale.

His wife blew a gasket and wanted to sue the college, but it's all in our policies what "new employees" get when they start.

Yes, when someone quits, be it 2 days, or 2 years, if they are fortunate enough to get hired back, they start off at the bottom. Wednesday is a statutory holiday here, Canada day, July 1st. In the past she would have been paid for it despite not working, but now she won't. Law says an employee in BC has to have been working at least 30 days, before they get paid for a stat.
On the upside, she is extremely happy to be back, can start rebuilding her seniority and salary.
Apparently they offered her the moon, at the place she quit here, to go to. As it turns out, they sucked to work for, and instead of making 30% more, she has made 70% less.

Oh, ok, I seen 2020 1500 Ram on youre thing and thought maybe you settled for something else. Even with factory being temporally shut down that seems like a long time to get one. That will be almost a year won't it?
 
Almost a year yes, and too long.

I gave B my 2017 Ram 1500, and bought a new 2020 for myself.
Its just a short box this time, because the Ram 2500 will be a long box when I need to carry something larger, or just switch with B occasionally. It's nice in town having the short 6.5' box, but on open roads, I miss the longer wheelbase smoothness and stability.
 
So...went to McDonald's today, walked in alone, ordered three large fries, three 20 piece Mcnuggets, and a large chocolate shake. The girl who took my order was looking at me like an escaped mental patient.
So about 5 minutes later she comes outside on her break, sees me sitting on the tailgate, and the two boys with me. She walks over, and says " now that I see this, your order makes sense."
So I told her the dogs each got a fries, and 25 mcnuggets, and I ate 10 mcnuggets, fries, and drank the shake. Not the shy type, she sat down on my tailgate, and we had a nice visit.
 
So...I sometimes heard some weird noises from my house roof, had a little free time this morning, so got the ladder, and went up for a look. Had those cheap turbine style attic vents from home depot, only 9 years old, and the bearings are completely worn out, so they grind when they spin, hence the noise.
A few phone calls later, and a guy is coming Thursday to replace them all on the house and shop, with the vent style, that don't spin. Shocking how fast they wore, been making a lot of noise for over a year already, so were less than 8 years old when they were toast.

That noise at my house and I wudda taken the AR and 2 Glocks to investigate!:)
 
So...it is Tuesday, I have to work, wishing for the whole day off, but that isn't going to happen. Hopefully though I am done around 3 pm, and then can go with friends for a ride on the PWC. My personal assistant just bought herself one as well, so another reason to ride.
 
So...who knew that double wide trailers were so rare.
Finally bought a used one today, a little bit of damage, I will fix that.
Also peel off the stupid sea doo move lettering. I bought the new Jet ski yesterday to give to B, but can't find a trailer to hold ours together anywhere.
And seems ridiculous to take two vehicles when we want to go anywhere with them.

Tried to find an Ultra 310LX so we would have matching rides, can't find one of those either without driving 6 hours to get it, so she gets a 160. She is working tonight teaching Karate, should be excited to see it when she gets home around 9:30.
Seems lately if not working or playing with the boys, I am out on my Jet ski. So it was time to get B her own.

Trailer damage I need to repair.
Will order a new fender, finish straightening the bracket, rattle can it black, and good enough.
Had them order new bearings for it, not even going to look at the wheel bearings until i replace them.
Heat gun should take care of the decals.
