I read somewhere were synthetic could cause leaks I always used synthetic only 30 thousand miles on it
I've got 58K on my '17 OR and used Amsoil 0W-20 from the start and no leaks of any kind. Guess its always possible but none on mine!I read somewhere were synthetic could cause leaks I always used synthetic only 30 thousand miles on it
When synthetics were first introduced it was said they caused leaks, the leaks they caused were mostly contributed to the fact that the synthetic was cleaning the sludge up and that some of the older seal material wasn't friendly with synthetics. I have ran synthetics exclusively for the last 20 years and haven't had the first leak. I used Amsoil for years and always liked it but just recently switched to Pennzoil strictly because of the price. Ironically both my vehicles seem like they like the Pennzoil better. So far no reason to go back to Amsoil.I read somewhere were synthetic could cause leaks I always used synthetic only 30 thousand miles on it
