Tacoma vs 4Runner

The outsides have looked about the same for ever it seems like. I liked the 84-89’s and the 90-2002 looked ok I didn’t like them after that until 2014 they look good now. IMO. I’d drive one if I didn’t need a truck and have an outback, I don’t need an SUV.
 
Went with my wife to test drive a Tacoma off road and a 4Runner (it was a limited).

The back seat is significantly larger in the 4Runner. Head room is about the same in the back.

Ride was slightly smoother in the 4Runner but nothing vastly different. Front seats more comfortable with the multi adjustable seats.

Tacoma significantly longer in my garage.

But when I pulled both right next to each other I am still drawn to the Tacoma. A vehicle for me is much more than just transportation. I’ll have to sleep on it for a little.

You won’t be disappointed with either vehicle. Be ready to spend a lot more $$$ after you buy a Tacoma. :D
 
FWIW, I chose a Tacoma Limited. (Please no flames)

I got front and back seat, covered cargo area that is expandable vertically, towny ride with 4wd, all the goodies, and that “celestial pimp” chrome without too much overdone. (My opinion)

Plus I’m 60 yrs old, live in a major urban area, too old/tired for major changes, and have no need for overdone anything.

Again, FWIW.
