In the desert in Idaho, I used a big sand anchor from a boat. Lay it out a ways in front and when winching in, it’ll dig down in the sand by itself. It’ll provide a solid point and you winch right out. The anchor comes out easily when you pull straight up on the tow line.

Just read on my tv screensaver that ford is recalling 1.5 million trucks because there is a transmission problem that the truck may downshift to 1st gear at any speed .Damn that'll make you say WTF for sure . Still love my Taco ! Just sayin'!Maybe a 10. speed auto .wasn't such a great idea after all . Henry ?
