Downhill both ways?

No. That was one way, mostly downhill. But I just drove to Mammoth from San Diego. It goes from sea level to about 7,000 feet. Driving through the desert with strong headwinds and a load of gear and mountain bikes in the bed, I averaged 22MPG the whole way. Cruise control seems to help a lot with the complaints about shifting too much.

With this set up. Might do the OME BP-51 Kit.

Nice setup. Do you have rails for the cap? I'm thinking of doing that with the factory rack to haul a long canoe but the cap rails would need to be close in height to the factory rack.

Did you notice a change in mileage with the higher cap?

Love that look and setup.

Put me in the "I love my Taco" category. My 2016 TRD Sport was awesome. It was a stick-shift 6-speed and it got great gas milage for a 4x4. I miss that pickup truck. Passed it on to my son so it's still in the family.

my '97 rig started having issues around 115k... but it may have been age related IDK

Yes. Only wear and tear items have been front and rear brakes done once, belt, hoses and coolant, battery done once, I did the spark plugs and coils at 100,000 miles just because and that is it.
