Throwout bearing making noisy chatter at just 10k miles... 8^{

Usually when that happens the throwout bearing is too close to the pressure plate fingers. The clutch pedal linkage needs to be adjusted for more free-play, or the fork return spring if applicable is too weak.
 
already had it re-adjusted about 3k miles ago so that the pedal does NOT flop back abnormally at the end of the stroke, which it stopped doing :) after adjusting

it needs to get it adjusted yet again?
 
so why did this top-tier master toyota ase that adjusted it not mention that AT ALL?
 
You don't spend a lot of time on an old truck...I've even learned that. Too many chances of opening a can of worms creating other issues the customer never mentioned, and then you're responsible for it. You do just the minimum to address the issue. Its just the way I was taught in tech school.
 
it not like its from the 1980s or even early '90s

but that right there is NO excuse not to check it out if you are knowledgeable about it
