that chattering from the plates is probably what the noise is accelerating up hilly terrain
i had not thought of this or that!

Because your putting some pressure on the surfaces of the bearing damping the sound.

One shop look at it months ago said it was looking like exhaust rattle rattle somewhere somehow

Heat shields like to rattle, especially when you step on the skinny pedal.

my friend has a 2012 SR5 ,its got 58 k on it and everything is stiil original !! even front brakes.

Heat shields on any of my past trucks don't last more than 5 years before falling off. Rust is usually the culprit.

Last time I changed my engine oil was exactly a year ago. Had well over a year on it with 9k miles. Checking the oil the other day, it still looked fine, only got about 6k miles on it. I'll probably wait till spring when I have more miles.
