Trying to diagnose a noise on my 2022 TRD OR that occurs whenever I drive over a rut (like dips at an intersection for storm water draining, or a speed bump). I’ve had the truck since 2022 and it has only started to make this noise in the last year or so. I’m wondering if it’s a bad ball joint? At first I thought it was my skid plate hitting the ground, but I stuck a GoPro under there with a light and I don’t think it’s that. The noise also seems like it might be slightly louder on the left than the right, which makes me think something suspension-related.
Left side (Noise more noticeable)
Right side (slightly quieter)
After reviewing the footage, I see the lower suspension arm hitting the bump stop, but the noise doesn’t sound like metal on rubber, it sounds more like metal on metal. Let me know what you guys think, thanks!
