What did you do with your Taco today

My friend picked up a bronco out of fla. It's got a 6 inch lift with 22 " rims on 37s. The body is completely linex coated, it's so sweet and has killer sound system!

You just don't see many older bronco's like that body style in 4 doors, or 2 door for that matter on the road anymore....at least here in new england..

You'd swear it looks much older...is that some sort of fords retro look? All the bronco's I see around here look much different, with owners complaining about how thirsty they are.

I was driving by the ford dealership here the other day, and saw a similar looking bronco with that body shape on their lot...they called them their heritage addition...they even had f-150's called their new england addition.

On another note this morning while doing my grocery shopping, was following an older subaru covered with space alien heads, and body decals....was lkind of creepy looking.

Was at lowes this noon, and got a parking spot that had a bunch of open spaces close to their store exit. When I came out I didn't see my truck anywhere. Thought wtf...I know where I parked it, but it's not there. I began walking to the area I thought I left it, but only saw two humungous double decker ford transit cargo vans that appeared next to each other....mumbled s.o.b...as I got closer...there was my truck between both of them with no room to open either of my truck doors. Now really pissed off, I went back inside lowes, and had them find the owners of those vans. Neither driver spoke good English. Finally got one of them to move, so I could get in my truck, and get the hell out of there. A-holes

Holy crap, just ran an errand to my old shop 25 miles away, and seen the most gen3 4wd tacoma's on the roads than I can ever recall....all different years, trims, and colors. Many of them seem to be checking out the start of the fall scenery. Even saw a silver gen4 taco which is a rare sight here,

Just reset the dash maintenance reminder led this morning after rotating my tires the other day....real tough job, almost as hard as navigating a tv remote control.

Put a new air filter in my truck before we drove to Boston and back today like 130 miles with side trips and I was only getting about 17 mph on the highway I used to get 22 -25 sometimes a little more ? Still running around 60-65 .Wtaf.

Most I ever saw with my 3.5 tacoma was almost 23 mpg, and that was coming back home from a 160 mile trip to Boston doing around 70 mph. It's always been around 21-22 mpg on roads here with a combination of city /highway. I still get 19 towing my 5'x10' utility trailer, and snowmobile...thats mainly on secondary highways doing 45-55 mph.
Tire size, and weight play a major part with getting decent fuel economy with these 3.5 v6 engines. I've spoken with a toyota tech I've known for years...he told me just 4lb. heavier tire than what comes stock on these trucks can drop fuel mileage by 3 mpg. depending on the type usage tire.

Those tires and wheels have been on my truck for 7 years this is a recent thing:(
I'd say count your past blessings....it's back to reality. These trucks are like a bread box on the road...great fuel economy isn't one of their big achievements. I'd like to see 25 mpg on my truck also, but knowing its just not possible.
