It's not so much about what I did today, but what I've done since I purchased my 2017 TRD OR back in October. There're a few things I've done and have plans for some more. Some are trivial.
The first thing I did was buy a tonneau cover.
This is the BackFlip M4. About the same time, I added some personal logo decals of my own artistic design, as you can see from the above photos and the ones that follow. To print the logos cost me $90 and to put them on, another $60. Vehicle wrap places have their own catalogs for people to choose stuff from, if you aren't able to design your own stuff.
I also loaded a photo into the console as the startup image.
I learned about the Reese trailer hitch and mount from Bogun's post and added that recently.
This one has the security locking pin. Here's a pic through the console while shifted in Reverse.
Early on, I invested in a locking gas cap and first stumbled before learning that only the Stant cap works on the TRD while all others cause error indications and warnings to come on.
I was about due for a new Cell Phone and that the Qi recharging pad was available in the new TRD, I got a phone that had this feature.
My GoPro Hero6 was easy enough to add when I have someplace to go and want to record the bumps and crawls.
I don't leave the Hero6 in the truck all the time. I have other uses for it and it needs recharging too. But's it's a nice thing to have.
I'm still waiting on my personalized license plates. I hope to have them soon.
Other than that I did a Zaino show room detailing and paint protection just after adding the decals and folded my heavy duty jumper cables into the storage area under the back seats. I might need them one day to help some poor traveler or fellow trucker. Last time I used them was to jump an ambulance and get it running to take an ill WWII veteran to the hospital. They left all their lights running while inside looking after the vet and the battery ran down on them. Handy things - jumper cables. If you own a new truck, think about it. They can be useful and can possibley save a life.
Those unwanted mods like bird poop, tree sap and air pollution tar wash off easily with the Zaino finish.
Now it's time to look to the future.
BTW: People ask me what TipTop means. I tell them to ask me how I'm feeling. Oh what a feeling - Toyota? Nah, that wasn't the intention, but it fits.
