Installed a McGard tailgate lock.
It’s essentially a hose clamp with a plastic housing that uses a special bit. If you leave the tailgate unlocked it’ll keep it from getting stolen.

I wasn’t sure how that was doing to turn out with the white but it looks good. Something for me to think about if I ever get reared.

Morning yesterday i spent some time looking for the tailgate key for my 2016 but is is mia some i pulled the gate apart to find no undercoat anywhere WTF ! So i headaed to true value and picked up some cans of clear spray on sealer " As seen on TV " ! It worked awesome so im going to do the rest under neath as soon as i can pressure wash the chassis heres some pics

Did you have to replace the lock cylinder or just get the number to have a key mad. Mine is mia as well.

Moved my trailer wiring plug up onto the bumper. I got tired of bending the bracket and banging up the plug when off-road.

Just got done washing it.....wash mitt hung up on the "V6" emblem on the tailgate.......5 minutes, some fishing line...... and don't have to worry 'bout that no more.

That’s another reason I took all my emblems off. Including the Tacoma on the doors. Washing inbetween and around them sucks.

Just got done removing the side emblems.........didn't take very long. Looks 'cleaner'.
