Where do you mount your Hi lift?

When I first got my Tacoma, I mounted my Hi lift vertical behind the cab, connected to the bed rail system. Now I have a DiamondBack HD cover over the bed so I'm trying to decide how best to secure the jack, preferably in the bed. What does everyone else do?

I have been giving it some thought and am considering building a tray to fit the lift and connecting that to the rail system with metal straps and a couple t-bolts. I think my lift will fit crosswise in the bed, but I guess I need to check that. I don't want it bouncing around and I want to be able to get to it without having to move other gear around.

I measured and it fits exactly in my long bed lengthways so maybe I could utilize the rail some how

So here is what I came up with. I cut a piece of plywood (happened to be oak because its what I had) to fit tight just behind the bulkhead and on top of the wheel wells, fitted a couple 2x4 on that to support the main parts. The lengthwise 2x has a notch to capture the bottom edge of the tie down on one side to ensure nothing moves. Then I bolted on the Loc-Rac and ran a 3/8" bolt through one of the Hi-lift holes to bolt down with a wing nut.

I utilized the top channel of my TRD bed divider and fabricating two brackets out of box channel. These just slide on to the divider and allow me to attach the hi-lift using large wing nuts.
