Why do you drive a manuel transmission ?

i just plain do not trusst that automatic transmission that it knows whut to do when to do
its like vooDoo hooDoo sometimes o_O o_O o_O
 
i do not keep my '97 in 2nd gear upto +60mph and well over 3k RPM like this Gen2 4sp did to me today getting onto the freeway
 
Has the transmission always shifted like that? They will normally shift as such only when the engine and atf is not up to normal operating temp.
 
IDK! i am not the regular driver of this truck over 13yrs

it had better be upto normal op temp because i had been on the freeway with it for at least 50 miles before i had to get off and get back on
 
I can tell you this odd for a v6 auto....at least the 93 I owned. I know the 4 cylinder autos are turds cause I had one.
 
this is a 4cyl gen2

if only they put the V6 into the single reg cab... i would be intrested very much to find with MT
