Wiper Blades

Got a question on these gen3 tacoma's as far as finding good all weather windshield wiper blades. Been using trico gold blades in the past on my tundra, but now hearing from others there are better brands to choose. This being a 1st tacoma, its got me intrigued what others recommend.

FWIW, wiper blades die due to weather conditions/exposure, scraping dirt and bugs off the windshield.

None of the brands last more than a year here in the Mid-West. I typically buy Trico. I steer clear of the "designer" brands with magic claims.

I do use Rain-X on the windshield about 2X/year. It helps the rain to roll off the windshield at speeds above 45 mph and the bugs don't seem to adhere as firmly. Can't say how much extra duration this adds to the wiper life, but it seems to help.

My 2020 gen3 stock wipers recently took a dump, reason for this thread, wondering if there's something better others have used out there. I've mostly had trico after trying a few other blades. Seems I always end up going back. On another note, kind of surprised the original stock wipers lasted this long.

Just went outside to install my new gold addition trico wiper blades....frigging windy, and cold....At least it was super easy on these gen3 tacos before I froze my fingers off. Couldn't believe how bad the rubber inserts got on the old toyota blades. The rubber was just falling apart in pieces. Now I can actually see something when it rains.:D

Seems everyone buys Bosch. I've had Bosch over 10 years ago....they were junk leaving streaks every time I used them. Never bought them again. I've had michelin in the past, and rainX which were decent. I just have the longest, and best performance success with tricos....their gold edition being very good, plus there's no bs installing them. I guess it depends on how much use, and where you live that determines how long wiper blades last.

Idk, about those Denso hybrid blades. They remind me of blades that looked familiar I had tried years ago. After a year outside 24/7 the covering on them rotted apart with pieces flapping loose. I'm still sold on the trico gold blades. They install in seconds, are quiet, do a great job, and last longer than a lot of other blades I've used. Only issue their more expensive than many other blades, but I guess you get what you pay for.

the real denso designers have the NWB nippon wiper blade co. Japan made, which are graphite rubber compound and last along time

There's one not far from my shop I've bought grass seed from recently. I've already bought a set of trico blades, and installed them. As usual they work great. Just hope they last like the ones in had on my tundra. They were still wiping well after 5 years.
