COVID-19 Hit's Home!

Sounds like you’ve been busy Tooter!
yep, trying to, VB. :) keeps the mind fresh and focused...and for the safety of my roomies too. haha! we've been on order for over 2 weeks now. havent been able to visit my sweetie in a month. been working from home during the week, which still oddly busy. you can only clean the house so much too. started doing these metal earth models. kinda cool. i have a few helicopters, a p-51 mustang, an aircraft carrier, and optimus prime coming. should be here in a couple weeks. had to buy the right tools first.

how is your friend's mom doing? any improvement in her conditon?20200314_171648-1.jpeg

Hey Tooter... I was washing my truck this afternoon and I thought about you. A litte girl about 8 years old was cycling by with a friend. As she passed by she hollered, I like your truck! Her little friend showed no interest and kept on his way. She gave a wave and disappeared down the road. It was so neat how she noticed the truck and the little guy had no interest. I thought, I just stepped into the past and saw Tooter as a litte girl! A friendly, thoughtful, kind child - with a love of trucks. It was such a nice moment!

haha :D thank you BR... it does sound like me! and thank you for sharing your endearing moment. you just never know who or what might brighten your day. :) i do get a little envious seeing everyone's cool rigs on here, but i love it too. i can't wait until i get mine!

:) So true!! Little moments can certainly brighten our days. Your truck day will arrive...and the wait makes it all the more special. The truck pics and stories are there to tie you over until you are rippin' around in your own rig! :) I like that you saw that little girl in you as well.

Dang Tooter that dragonfly looks awesome! Thank you for asking about our friend’s mom. She has had some improvements over the past couple of days. She was taken off the ventilator and it was a wait and see if she could handle it. If she declined again, they had decided to keep her comfortable as she passed. Amazingly she has remained off the ventilator and is slowly getting better each day. She passed the swallow test today, so she will be able to eat mashed up food. Her lungs are still a little cloudy so she’s on an antibiotic and steroids. Today she started speech, physical, and occupational therapy. Hopefully she will continue to improve and go home soon. Again, thank you for asking!

you are so right, G. been keeping in the bright side of this shelter-in-place order by playing laundry hoops, hide and seek with the granddog's squeaker toys, keeping to my workouts, reading books, yard work, organizing garage, etc....and neighborhood wolf howls every night are particularly enjoyable. i tried playing practical jokes on my roomies, but that lasted about all of 10 minutes. lol! Been building a lot of blanket forts in the den.

that is so good to hear, VB! :) i hope she continues this path so she can go home soon. sometimes you recover faster at home with your family. i'm sure she will be eager to get home too.

That’s great to hear.

JBB, i really don't know a lot about this media website or the journalist. also, it is hard to trust any media nowadays, but i trust the communist party of china even less. i know this isn't the forum to get political, but with the current state of affairs i thought folks might find it interesting to watch and they can decide themsleves. if i get kicked off the forum because of it, then so be it. hopefully i dont though. :)
