As far as gas mileage goes, so far MPG is still around 21 if I keep my foot out of it. I drive 24 miles to work one way at about 75 MPH.

I am still on the stock tires and rims.

I shimmed our the CB to 3/4 drop. Still have the vibration around 25 mph.
Does not go away in 4wd, so I’m guessing it’s not the diff bearing and a diff drop won’t help.

I may have the alignment checked again.

    Any ideas?

I torqued the u-bolts to 95 ft-lbs and still have the vibe at 25mph.

Ended up getting the 3 degree shim kit (does not come with u-bolts).

If you go with just the AAL and have no vibe, you will be good with the u-bolts that come with the kit the AAL kit, these are grade 5, 8” u-bolts.

If you do a 1” block, you will get grade 8 u-bolts with the block that are 9.5”.

I was able to use the grade 5, 8” u-bolts for the AAL & 1” block.

If you shim it, you will need to use the longer grade 8, 9.5” u-bolts.

Here is a pic for reference & installed.

    1” lift block 8”

Did the shims help the vibe?

    Did a test drive.
Shims eliminates the vibe. I did leave the 3/4” CB shim in place as well.

Just a note for y’all out there.
If your going to do a lift and your concerned about the clearance issue when assembling the rear with the limited space for a AAL, a block and a shim with regard to how far you can drop your axle down without damaging something (brake lines will only stretch so far), you can remove the leaf pack and assemble it off the vehicle. A little more work, but the their are no concerns about breaking the brake lines.
