How often do you park beside another Tacoma….

I stopped off at the Quick Sack for some beer and cigarettes! :p I spotted this little pre Tacoma parked outside the What-A-Burger and Sam's Club down the street from the sweat shop where I work! Had some lunch at What-A-Burger and when I came out there she was parked a couple spaces over from Little Taco! It's definitely an MT truck and obviously a work truck but appears to still be running strong!
Ya know even with the multiple colors, that's a solid little work Taco. :)

So today I was at DFW International and spotted this good lookin SuperWhite gen2. This is another one of those regional TSS badges that I've only seen here in Texas. Not sure if those are factory rims but they sure do pop.

Do they administer IQ tests to students anymore like when I went? Be interesting to know if students today have gotten smarter, or dumber.
Based only on my observation.

Modern youth are more tech savvy, but dumb as a box of hammers about life. Take their phone away and they are incapacitated and will melt down in a few minutes.
I have a cousin who just turned 21 a couple weeks ago, I was texting him a month or so ago and ended up getting into a debate with him! As intelligent as he is he's one of those who believe the Constitution is a living breathing document! Ugh! The reason he gave for this is because the Constitution has had various amendments added over the last couple centuries since it was written! I tried to explain to him that just because it can be amended doesn't mean it's a living breathing document! The amendment process is very strenuous and complicated and can't be done on a whim! There haven't been any Constitutional amendments in the last few decades or so! Unfortunately he's a product of the indoctrination camps we call public schools! He is however progun because I used to take him to gun shows and shooting ranges when he was a kid but I think he does support some gun control too! Ugh! He thinks that just because people like me don't agree that the Constitution is a living breathing document then we either can't or won't think for ourselves!

Well it seems like its been forever but I finally spotted a Taco today that I haven't taken a picture of. I came up on this gorgeous gen2 Taco today. Look at all that pretty chrome on this Silver Roadhog ! Its got the faded paint, dents & dings but it sure is pretty.

Hey fellas I spotted this beautiful red 1st gen double cab SR5 TRD OFF-ROAD PRERUNNER at the chain gang where I work this afternoon! This truck is absolutely beautiful and obviously well kept! It's meticulously clean! I really love the chrome!

Holy Taco $hit TacoMan that 1g looks like it just rolled out of the factory. Chrome running boards, chrome grill with vertical louvers, AT's with the white letters out and I can't believe the preservation of that pristine paint job, especially here in Texas ! My only hunch is the TRD decal is an afterthought from the current owner because this Taco is an SR5. What a beautiful pickup truck. :)

Spotted this 1g Taco today at my neighborhood Walmart. Almost in as good a shape as TacoMan's find earlier today. Always good to see these fellas still out and about. Taco Joel mentioned in a previous thread that the 1g's are getting harder and harder to spot just like Toyota Tacos that came before the Tacoma. It's a lost art man….

So did the SR5 PreRunner not come with the TRD OffRoad package then??

Not the 1g 1995-2000 Tacos but I did notice they started attaching the TRD badging starting in 2001 when the grill louvers changed from horizontal to vertical. Here's the first 1g 1995-2000 Taco pictures and then I'll post the 1g 2001-2004 Tacos and you be the judge. And notice the factory rims also changed in the 1g starting in 2001 when the grill changed. Just my 2¢.

Okay, I'm pretty sure the one I saw at work today was a 2001-2004.

Now here's the 1g Tacos from 2001-2004. See the TRD badging and the different factory rims ? But I have also observed many g1 vertical grills that had no TRD badging so I don't know what to think about this now. Wow, attention to detail if you want to be a SME…. And it's not me.
