That is what jet boating is all about.
I offered to drop them off downstream about 10 kms, because I know that creek gets nasty.
At high water I can get up further, right to the lake.

It starts off wide, deep, and gentle, as we headed to the mountains, it gets smaller and nastier, the last 30 kms is pretty nasty. We didn't make it to the lake yesterday, a couple of these pics are from may 2018 when we did get up further, the water was deeper.
B was along on that trip in 2018 when we were just friends.

So...does anyone here own or work at a shop that makes ball caps, toques, shirts, jackets, that sort of thing?
I'm going to get some made, and my thought is why not throw the business to someone here if you do this.
Looking to get 2000 ball caps total, 1000 each of two types.
500 shirts, again in two types.
    500 jackets, in two types.
    200 toques.

So...a while ago I was approached by a group, about hiring someone who has an illness, part time, through their program. I was hesitant at first, but shouldn't have been.
The young woman just completed her fourth shift, what a great worker, and nice person.
If any of you get approached about something similar, consider it with an open mind, you may be pleasantly surprised.

So...hired a woman seven years ago, she quit in January of this year. Today, came back to me asking for a job. I'm torn, while I am hiring, and do need employees, she obviously has no loyalty, and thinks the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence...but she doesn't require a lot of training, unlike most new hires that I have to train for a long time.
Part of me says hire her back, another says no damn way!

coin toss? this would be a tough call. i say if you trust her as a person, give her another shot. maybe she can help take some of the burden of new hire training too.

I'm with Tooter on this, unless she has been a boomerang employee. If this is her firs time leaving, give her another chance.

I'll sleep on it, maybe call her tomorrow with my decision.
    Thanks you guys and gals.
She only quit once, but it's still hard when someone quits, then later asks to come back.

our company does it all the time if folks leave on good terms. good idea to think on it.

We have lots if people leave. Because they think the grass is greener somewhere else, and sometimes it is, but many times they come back because they realize how good they had it working for Centeal Texas College.

So...called her about 7am, we had a long chat, I laid it out flat for her.
If she quits ever again there is no third chance, she lost all of her seniority, and she starts back at the newbie salary every one starts at, or it isn't fair to the rest of the team, and she is back to being on probation for 6 months as well. She still really wants to come back, starts Monday morning at 6 am.
Her direct boss already knows, I called him next and filled him in. He laughed, said he is never going to quit, and it must be hard for her to come back as the lowest position, and making starting wage would suck. She seems genuinely sorry she quit, and happy to be returning. This is the first time I hired someone back, after they quit. Very rarely do people actually quit, it does make me wonder what she was looking for, I asked her that question...she doesn't even seem to know the answer herself, or at least pretends not to.
