How often do you park beside another Tacoma….

when are these Gen2 trucks going to show massive amounts of body rott???
i shall make the effort to park next to them then

i have only seen ONE so far and it was in Wisconsin
tailgate was ROTTED to crap along the bottoms

I once did that with my tundra parking next to an f-550 dump truck. I ended up with a good dinger in my door, just below my driver side window. I now park next to a corral where shopping baskets are collected, or park far away from anybody.

My '06 Gen2......very small rust. It has lived in the snow/salt all its life. Driver's side looks same. New frame in 2/2018. Solid truck.

Lack of maintenance will accelerate rust.

Toyota has made pretty decent bodies over the last 30 years, or so that aren't too rust prone. Their major weak spot is their frames. If you live in the salt belt rust inhibitors are a must. You can't depend on Toyota down the road to always fix this issue.

Gen 1 tacos are same as the 80s and 90s trucks, at least the first batch of them
They Will rott in the tailgate rockers door bottoms wheel wells bed cab floor

That gen2 spotted in Wisconsin with rotted tailgate may have also had prior damage to it that caused it to perforate so soon
O just don't know

Another 1st gen sighting ! Wow ! Now this bad boy has paid his dues to the workin man. A 1995/96/97 Tacoma, SunFireRed, 4WD ,ex-cab 6-ft box, MT (heck yeah I peaked inside the cab and saw that beautiful shifter knob !) The diomand plate tool boxes and the ladder rack is real. And it's manuel turn-out hubs ! Remember those ? When the weather went from good to bad and you wanted to switch from 2-high to 4-high you had to stop, get out of your rig in the freezing elements, and litterally turn the hubs from 2WD to 4WD with your thumb and index finger ! I freaking hated my dad everytime he made me get out of the cab and turn those little bastards. Thank God for four-wheel, shift-on-the-fly.
Good lookin' 1st gen man! Double like!
