When my buddy bought his FJ new it too came with it. It is a dealer installed alarm sensor. The dealer added it to almost all vehicles regardless if you paid for it. They they tried to sell u the aftermarket alarm and would activate it.

They wanted $500 to activate this thing. I declined with the intent of going aftermarket but I never did.

At one point we looked on line and found the remaining parts for like $50 with easy instructions on how to activate it yourself!
