North Central (aka midWest) taco trails and adventures

Interesting. We had about 24"+ in our front yard.
Yes I recall seeing that! It was very hit and miss last season
Not much at least for cover up to Sioux city and Sioux falls and west to Missouri river in SD
My uncle near Columbia MO had 2 big falls like central Iowa did and snowed his rural town in the plows couldn't make it to him

The in-laws, just 1 hour drive NW of us, had about 1-2 inch of cover.

Last winter's snow was weird. Although, the insane temperature and windchill made up the shortfall.

You should wait a few months. Then we'll have ice and snow pack on the "trails".......and more potholes. ;)
Iowa hwy 9 is still on the bucket list
That might be a good winter adventure and its a long one o_O

...currently in Beloit WI at a Toyota 4x4 event in Rockford IL
going to stay off the TollWay heading to Chicago to find I-57. about 70 miles south of there will be on the hunt for IL-116 to wheel back across Illinois to near the Iowa border on US-34

IL-116 has a distance of 176 miles and will be the first trail in Illinois I have wheeled that goes through the city of Peoria at the halfWay point
