noticeable increase in fuel consumption, losing 50 tacoMiles per tank of tacoJuice... what is going on?

Yeah, I know these gen3's haven't as wide a wheelbase as those gen1 tundras. My wife thats about 5'4'' hated parking the tundra, and refused to use it unless it was the last vehicle there was to drive. She now can't get enough of the tacoma once she tried it.
The jury is out for me with scoops for trucks, personally I think they look ridiculous, especially when not functional, but to each their own. I had to have a scoop on my old 66 gto drag car in order to close the hood over the high rise intake manifold with dual 500 cfm quads, but thats a whole other episode.

That's funny cuz my wife used my tundra a lot she hates the scoop on the Taco cuz the hood has a good 2-2.5 bump up over a none scooped hood. The tundra hood dropped off a lot more so it was much easier to look over. I had a '67 gto 400 4spd in school turquoise and black vinyl top black gut 10" aluminium slots out back with L-60 Mickey Thompson's and 4.5 on the front with skinnys and 90-10 drag shocks it was fun. We sold it and it got burned for insurance money but he got figured out and never got money from it .what a butthead

My wife hated my tundra simply cuz she just couldn't seem to park it in a tight space, unlike the tacoma. Idk, about being able to see with these tacoma's with a hood scoop...especially your thats a long bed. Never tried one that had both. All I can say is, I have no issues with seeing over the hood on mine.
My 66 gto was tan, and a hardtop. It to had 90/10 front drag shocks, and welded on ladder bars, with a 9'' rear differential to keep it alone from wheel hopping. I ran a nascar 421 super duty engine shipped from down south that came from a pontiac nascar race team that campaigned 1963 catalina's. It was backed up with a muncie close ratio 4 speed with cut gears to crash shift it.
I ended up parting the car out in the late 70's. Never heard where everything ended up, including all the spare parts. A local speed shop bought a bunch of the stuff.

Its hard when you can't come to the realization that a clapped out high mileage engine has to be pushed harder to do the same work requiring more fuel in the process.

whut new parts may be needed?

whut diagnostics to get performed?

something is off and my IQ is not so high  it is frustrating AF

NO CEL has been triggered yet why??

I've seen so many cases like this over my lifetime. You still don't get it that your engine is tired along with many other parts like the fuel system that supports it. Time for a new truck, or live with what you have throwing more in it while getting no results. It won't get better if thats what you're hoping. You keep listening to those gen1 bozo's from tw, how there's no life beyond having a gen1, and you'll go broke. You need to say its time to move on.

it burn no oil i don't get it!

and it does NOT just drop that significant amount of MPGs in one instant

Time for a compression, and leak down test. That will tell you how healthy the engine is, but at over 300k miles don't expect a miracle.
All I can tell you when my gen1 tundra had close to 300k miles, its oil pressure wasn't as high at idle as it was when it had 50k miles. Internal engine parts like crank bearings eventually wear.

did it have a compression test maybe 40k miles ago when it got sum new plugs that i still question
will have to consult the carFax record again on that just for accuracy

no noticeable coolant loss so no need for any leakdown test right

Leak down test is not just about coolant, it determines if all your cylinders valves are sealing well so your not slowly losing compression over time. Just by doing a regular compression test won't show that.
It's also not unusual to see some blow-by at that mileage. Engines get tired to.

as i have stated b4
the gmc canyon cannot get a 2 door NOR Can you get the MT
nor can i reach into that bed with the ease.

Imo, you don't even need a truck, get something like a rav4, or even a ford frontier if you must have a truck. My brother has been very happy with his hybrid rav4, averages 30 mpg...plus their all hybrids, or ev's by now.

Manuals today suck...there's less than 2% that buy them, There's no need for one unless you have a some sort of mental issue. The automatic in my gen3 is way better than the auto in my old tundra. Don't believe all the bs on these forums that you only need a manual.
Btw, my brother has hauled way more stuff in his rav4 than I have with my tacoma. Only thing I can claim is I've carried some bigger items like a 3k lb boat, or my 5'x10' loaded utility trailer. I even brought the wife along once with the prius having to load 10 bags of concrete in the prius, so don't give me that excuse you only need a truck.
