Rear Diff fluid

This showed up on a Google search
But it was buried and to scroll on down a bitty

my truck does NOT have LSD or traction control or anything of the sorts
can i still use the 75w90 stuff that has LSD additives init??

Idk, haven't bought any since having my tundra, but its probably over $20 a qt now. It comes in the squeezy bags now to make it easier.

Thats got nothing to do with that stuff. You can even use regular 90w hypoid gear oil if you want.

i picked up some 75w90 valvoline qts at AAP yesterday for a bit over 10$ per after 20 per cent off + 20c save at shell rewards... they are not in the squeezy packets, unfortunately

how about the front diff on the '11 taco

same gear oil as goes into the rear diff?

gonna attempt to change out relatives front diff for the 1st time on that track at 77k miles
since i just did the one on the '97 i should have all tools needed
are they basically the exact same setup

undercovers need to be removed or not removed, do you know?

how tight are these front plugs gonna be never being removed in 13 years since the factory put 'em on

is the top fill front diff accessible through the opening of the hood?
perhaps??
maybe???

no wonder the hacks want nearly 200$ for this service

Gotta take stupid wheel off for ease access

You don't have to remove the wheel, unless you need more work.

yes i definitely do have to remove the wheel.. unless the truck is six feet or whatever off the ground to walk directly underneath for ease of access

there were at least 3 objects obstructing the view of that top fill plug with the wheel on
