The BS Thread To Rule Them All!!!

I already stated to ex out the fuel, registration fees, insurance for a good calculation that involves only maintenance + repair cpm

I don't include fuel costs BECAUSE half the miles the fuel was 99c or less per G for a long spell
so in that sense I could not ever make a good valid comparison to a new tcoma
A new truck is WAY more pricey

Yep, its likey why I drive a newer truck while you're still stuck with those old clunkers. Even your buddy John boy has more sense to upgrade.

i did the mathematics on a new 45k taco
to get to where i am at in cents per mile you would need to drive it about and over 200k miles with ZERO maintenance cost to equal where i am at currently in cents per mile ex-fuel-registration-insurance
possible but not likely, amiright

Yes, but you don't need to worry when you'll be to be hoofing it, which usually happens at the worst possible time.
With these newer tacos, and all the nanny stuff your insurance, and fuel costs will go down. At least mine did after I owned that gen1 gas guzzling tundra, plus insurance companies love all that nanny crap. I went from the tundra's average of 14 mpg to 22 with the taco with nearly 35 more hp to boot.

Thats with my stock tacoma unloaded. My v8 tundra didn't care whether towing 2.5k lbs, or not...it still got 14 mpg highway. The tacoma will drop to as much as 16 mpg with the same load. That 4.7 tundra v8 put out far better torque numbers.
