Really when you think of it who needs a manual for these trucks in todays day, and age.

I do, I'd rather have a manual transmission in a four-wheel-drive over any automatic transmission. IMO a manual transmission is much better when you're four wheeling, you can feel the tires grabbing the dirt much better than if you're in an automatic, like I said IMO. The fact is that there are thousands of complaints about the Tacoma automatic transmissions with shifting issues.

I have 10x,xxx miles on my 3rd gen 6-speed manual with 4x4. No issues and still on factory clutch.

You probably never towed much, or had the truck loaded.

Or muscle cars. I've always loved rowing through the gears.out of 2 '69 Camaros I've had ,1 stick 1 auto the stick was much more fun to drive.

Maybe the tacoma's have a better clutch that the older 4x4 pickups? Never owned a tacoma till this 2020. I use tow boats, and enclosed snowmobile trailers with my old compact toyota pickups that had a manual transmission. Clutch would start chattering bad when around 60k miles.

Sweet love the old Glastrons I had a 16' 1974 checkmate with a '77 150 merc ! It was good for 63 mph

I'm all for keeping your 2015. In my opinion it's one of the best years. A deer totalled my 2015 in December and I ended up with a 2020 OR. I miss my 15 and the 4.0. Toyota should have kept the 4.0 and put a 6 or 8 speed trans behind it.

I never had another tacoma except this 2020 sr5 v6. I came from a 2001 tundra v8. My 2020 sr5 performs just fine. It gets good gas mileage, and makes more power than the tundra i had. I've heard a lot of weird issues with older gen3 trucks as some don't work as well as others.

I hear the 2015 Tacoma is a very good year. If you are going to buy a 2021 which is very highly rated. Please consider a Tacoma with the “Crawl control”. I think think the TRD Off road and PRO?

or make sure you get a Tacoma with the Locking diff.
