Tire Summary

I believe C rated. Lighter tire, Stronger sidewall, better handling. I am not a tire specialist nor am I pretending to be, if you are one please do lead the way. I am always up to learning something new, seriously.

My truck will not see any extreme off-roading, in fact it'll spend 90% on pawed roads. Why did I go with Toyos? Good reviews, good thread warranty, look aggressive enough without making my truck look like a tractor, price, made in Japan. My personal observations; handling is better than OE Good Year Wranglers (not squishy, running 33psi), slightly noisier, balanced really well, so far did really good in rain, hopefully will be as good in the snow.
Yeah for pavement warrior, standard load passenger is just fine.... Load range C as well.
Anything heavier will just kill mileage, and your back on bumpy roads. As long as ur happy with the pressure and the tires wear evenly, call it good. I always run 2lbs more in the front. They are responsible for turning and have to carry the load of the engine and trans 24/7. I despise lazy turn in, but that's just me. If I wanna carve a turn I wanna feel the truck lean, not the sidewall flex. I don't have a swaybar, so corners are fun enough :D.

I also run a CPL lbs more in all tires in winter to improve hydroplane resistance.

Happy hunting

And I now can agree with your subjective reply of "better load rating" for your needs and the size of the truck. Kbro2 come in load range E for most sizes right? That would be a nightmare for you, and the same for me.

I've tried running 35psi but it felt a little too stiff/bouncy for my taste. Went down to 33 and it feels good in all aspects. I too adjust pressure according to outside temp. usually twice a year on my SUVs and trucks, more often on the sports car with low profiles. So far happy with my choice especially for what I paid for them. Will be taking my truck to mountains soon, we'll see how they do in the white stuff. Hopefully I won't be disappointed.

It's a Tacoma, she should own the snow.
Those damn low pro tires will teach you to recognize when one tire is 2lbs low won't they? I had some 235/45/17s on my maxima (nitto 555) back in 2006 and since then I can feel any slop in my truck tires and our Camry tires despite these not being low pro.

That said I run between 38 and 40 up front and 36 to 38 out back. But I drive pretty aggressive.

That's good 4-wheelin'-in-the-Taco right there! We're forcasted to get 3-6" this friday into saturday......as much as I hate the cold/snow I want some to get the Taco and the new tires out in it!

Indeed it is! I went all around. Pulled about 10 people out of the ditch. Some full sized trucks out even. Funny thing is we were only supposed to get 1 to 3 inches then the night before the news went on their bread milk and eggs alert. Now we are supposed to get another 4 to 6 this Saturday again.

Sounds like a good time! Sounds like you're gonna get another round of fun soon!

Columbus had about 4 that last few days with freezing rain coming this week. Speaking of stock tires, let's see how the stock tires do. Has anyone had big issues if first set of tires?

Odd differences in longevity of the factory threads. I’ve never been a Goodyear fan but my ‘16 just passed 50K as well as a couple Tacos at work and we can’t believe the life of these Kevlars. I’m guessing it will be 65-70K before the wear-bars. Will buy Michelins next (always good for 65K)

Mine were great, but again they only made it 33K. I had no issues last winter. Was originally looking at similar tread patterns such as the Toyo. 95% of my driving will be normal roads, but that 5% is what my redneck blood wants more than quiet or mpg. So I went with the duratrac.

"KBro2" is the funniest thing I've read all day!!! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Duratrac synopsis: they clean themselves out well with a liberal application of the loud pedal. For the record, I was not stuck, just did a little unplanned cultivating and utilized the resources at my disposal (John Deere 544J) to prevent more damage to the property and perhaps my truck. Greasy ass ditch had me rootin for over a hunnert yards and couldn’t get it turned up outta there. Fun ride, but nerve racking because I was at work [emoji15]
