Those magnetic engine oil drain plugs are nearly useless. They don't to anything to prevent excess sludge/engine deposits that collect, and plug your oil pumps screen. Their really only good for transmissions, and differentials that develop some metallic fillings over time.

this thing looks like a handy and safe way to jack up and safely secure at least one side of a vehicle, and might be compact enough to store it with you in the truck or even under the hood for emergency use, ive seen a version like this at Wally world 6000 pounds is more than enough to jack up the Taco

Its just a tool chest on wheels...go online to harbor freight, and gaze at them if you like tools so much.

Why do you need all that stuff to remove the oil filter....it should come off just by twisting it off by hand. Same for it being only hand tightened.

apparently the gen2 4cylinder oil filter will SelfTighten beyond any strength i have to just twist it off
i screwed it on hand tight last time upside down at an angle and i could NOT turn it by hand this time so IDK

Come-on...there not like a maple syrup bottle cap. I've hand tightened oil filters for years on everything from trucks, cars, motorcycles, and tractors...never had an issue removing them by hand the next time needing replaced.
