What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Its been a few years since I've crossed at Hannibal. I know the last time I used that crossing the potholes went all the way to the river. Since then, I go farther south or north to cross. That bridge made me very uneasy. I swear I could feel it shake when meeting a semi-truck during crossing.

Curious. Which state has responsibility for a bridge over a border river?????

well that is a good question!
the state with more tax revenues? LOL
i believe there is just one bridge south of Hannibal at Louisiana MO
then its a long haul to the next in the greater St Louis area?

Yeah, that is why the Hannibal bridge is vital. Going north is Quincy, then Quad Cities........

The '93 flood blocked everything between Quad Cities and St. Louis. I lived in Quincy during that time.

there's a bridge at Muscatine, Keokuk and Burlington, were those closed as well?

have you crossed either of the narrow bridges at Cairo IL
you see a semi-truck coming at you from the other way and you look to see how high up you are and a big gust of wind could blow that trailer into your path o_O its so narrow, my taco is not that wide i could not imagine how it is crossing in a wider truck

How do they deal with a wide load hauler. I assume they use an escort,... they must have to close down one lane.
If you're referring to that Cairo bridge I believe there are width restrictions... but not positive. An escort definitely and close that bridge
There is an interstate bridge or two relatively close by into Kentucky over Ohio river and into Missouri over Mississippi river

6 feet of snow in buffalo ny and more on the way
Hope it's not the heavy water saturated snow!

I ran the Tacoma for about a 6 mile round trip to the local donut shop this morning. First time its run in a week.

Needed a couple of chocolate dunkers for my coffee......... a follow up to 2 scrambled egg burritos with picante sauce. My Sunday b'fast.

Got this part off that old Corolla finally... Been at it since mid October :oops:when I bummed my shoulder and neck bad and had to heal it up and get a warmish day in the sun
Threads on the 1/2 water inlet were so crusted the studs turned and not the nuts
I am stoked those studs didn't break it off in there
Also had to wrench off 2/3rds of the wiring harness that was attached and in me way

Drove to FedEx to drop off the package of return parts to RockAuto. So far, the process has been pretty normal for return. Now, just need to watch the tracking number for delivery, then 3 days for refund to land. Did the 4WD for 10 miles to exercise the system and circulate lube.

Keeping all related documents and communications just in case problems arise.

If worse comes to worse, I can dispute the charge with the credit card.

A little follow up on my RockAuto part return.

Dropped package at local FedEx on Tuesday, package arrived at RockAuto on Wednesday, received email from RockAuto confirming delivery of the package. So, all is working as detailed. Just waiting for the refund to come back to the Credit Card.

safely wheeled the '97 to two hundred seventy nine thousand and change on the clock

OK, The last of the RockAuto part return. Last night the refund was issued. I will consider this as good customer service.

Shipped the parts back on Tuesday,
RockAuto received package on Wednesday
Thanksgiving on Thursday
Payment refunded on Monday.

1 week from my door to the issued refund.

Placed an order for the correct parts this morning (Tuesday). Delivery is expected on Friday.

Hard to gripe.

I had to give a Marine a finger today, the middle one...
His beat truck plates had a USMC plate holder, so I assumed as much...
He rolled down his window and fingered me back
