Just to say, not "done", but decided on and in the process of doing...
I've chosen my accent colors. Yes, multiple accent colors. Since my truck is black and I'm not too crazy about a 100% black truck (mostly because any full black vehicle takes a second glance or a close look to recognize as ones own vehicle), I'm going with white and yellow (or red) combos for a unique look.
Just to point this out, I've been living in the Portland, OR area for the last 20 years, so Trailblazer colors are a possibility (although I'm not a huge fan of red; not a lucky color for me). That said, white and red are also Xmas colors, so that's why I'm leaning toward yellow.
Since my Taco is a work in progress until what seems like the end of time, I'll just have to accept that it isn't done, but getting done...
I plan on keeping the stock rims for these customization purposes and for the fact that anything else will just cost more money, be more "precious", and I most likely won't want to alter in this manner.
That being said, the rims will eventually be white with black center caps and yellow (or red) lug nuts. The grille surround will be white with a yellow (or red) emblem and my hood scoop will be white with a yellow (or red) centerpiece. I'm also gonna blackout the Husky locker on my Taco with possible accent combos.
I'm still considering what to do with the badges around the truck, but I have one or two ideas that I might play with... One being that I can spray a few layers of plasti dip on the badges, remove the dip just from the letters leaving a protective coat on the truck, and "stripe" the letters with my accent colors.
Either way, I'm totally stoked to finally start a new project on my truck that will, in fact, make it unique. AAGHH, I can't wait to get started!!!
Wait for it...
